[N] 2013 Dinosaur tail found in Tataouine region of Tunisia
The first discribed dinosaur fossils from Tunisia dates back to 1956, now a 15-meter- long tail of a dinosaur belonging to a gigantic herbivore dinosaur have been discovered in Bir Amor in the governorate of Tataouine in southern Tunisia. The dinosaur believed to have lived during the late Early Cretaceous (Aptian-Albian), is part of the rest of a discovery of some dinosaur fossils made in the same area in March 2011. The discovery, made some 500 km south of the capital, was led by a team of researchers from Tunisia’s national mining authority, Italy’s Bologna University and experts from Poland.
