A pterosaur vertebra from the Early Cretaceous (Albian) Sables verts of Grandpré (Ardennes, northeastern France) is characterised by its elongation, its very low neural arch confluent with the centrum, and the presence of a tuba vertebralis. It is referred to the family Azhdarchidae and is one of the earliest well-attested records of this group. The pterosaur diversity of the Sables verts is higher than previously recognised.
