The bones of the heavy build Rajasaurus narmadensis \\\"regal dinosaur from the Narmada”, were collected in 1983 by Suresh Srivastava of the Geological Survey of India (GSI) and Ashok Sahni, a paleontologist at Panjab University, during a search for dinosaur eggs and nests from the Maastrichtian of India. In 2001 paleontologists Paul Sereno and Jeff Wilson study the mixed collection of dinosaur bones that was spread out on an office floor. Rajasaurus was stocky and may have have had a small, rounded horn above its skull. Among the found bones are the braincase, jaw, left and right hip and a sacrum.
