Genus - Typespecies
The type specimen consists of seven platycoelous cervical verebrae. The noncarnosaurian characters are plesiomorphic, which together with the carnosaurian features present suggest that Kaijiangosaurus lini may be related to the ancestry of carnosaurs. It is possible that this genus is synonymus with Gasosaurus, which comes from the same formation.
