Besides the osteology of Charonosaurus jiayinensis the paper reviews the history of dinosaur discoveries from the Amur/Heilongjiang region. In teh above mentioned paper of Gopdefrait et al., the name \\\"Mandschurosaurus magnus\\\" used on a label for a hadrosaurian skeleton at the Geological Museum of Heilongjiang, appeared in print for the first time.
