Skull
Graciliceratops mongoliensis (Sereno, 2000) > Microceratops gobiensis (Bohlin, 1953)
Partial skull, skeleton several fragmentary specimens.
Sereno, (2000) referred Microceratops gobiensis of the Baynshirenskaya Svita (Sheeregeen Gashoon Formation), Omnogov Mongolia to the new genus Graciliceratops mongoliensis The type specimen of Microceratops gobiensis is being described by Sereno as an indeterminate juvenile, making the genus Microceratops a nomen dubium.
Young 1958 refered an isolated maxilla and other material from Shansi Province, China to Microceratops gobiensis on the basis of its small size only. The articulated skeleton (PAL MgD-I/156) from the Shireegiin Gashuun in Mongolia referred to Microceratops gobiensis by Marayanska and Osmolska is most probably a juvenile Protoceratops, therefore there is no basis for the referring M. gobiensis to Microceratops or to the species M. gobiensis.
