In 1968 students found near Geraldton, Australia a tibia which is now rediscovered by dinosaur expert John Long in the archives of the Western Australian Museum. When he noticed the bone he recognized clear dinosaur characteristics in it and removed it from the stone where in it was embedded.
Long gave the dinosaur the name \\\"Ozraptor\\\" what means lizard of Oz The bone has unique characteristics and its possible it represent a not yet known genus. The bone is 175 million years old and that makes it the oldest known dinosaur find of Australia and the only known carnivore from that period.
