Genus - Typepecies
Recognized as an ankylosaur by the following features: small teeth with marginal denticles; teeth extend to rostral end of dentary; short medially projecting symphyseal process; low coronoid eminence; and dermal plate welded to the lower edge of the mandible (Galton, 1980,1983) Sarcolestes (\\\"flesh robber\\\"), mistakenly identified as a meat-eating dinosaur. This is the earliest record of a nodosaurid from anywhere in the world.
