Holotype
PIN 551/29 a series of caudfal vertebrae, metacarpals and phalanges, and fragments of armour plates. Other referred material: fragmentary remains of distal parts of tails and fragments of armour from the [Nemegt Basin, Nemegt Formation] an incomplete skull with skull roof, occiput and brain case from Khulsan, and a well preserved skull with incomplete postcranium. The skull was up to 400 mm long and 450 mm wide. With his 8 meter Tarchia was the largest Mongolian ankylosaur.
