Genus - Typespecies - Skull

Skull and postcranial skeleton that may represent a junior synonym of Saichania chulsanensis.

Tianzhenosaurus is a medium sized ankylosaur represented by a virtuallt complete skull and skeleton (skull: length 28 cm width 29 cm). Although Tianzhenosaurus does differ from Saichania in aspects of size, (Tianzhenosaurus is approximately 60% the size of Saichania) pattern of cranial sculpturing, and maxillarly tooth row mprphology, various authors have suggested that the two do not differ sufficiently to warrant taxonomic segregation (Sullivan, 1999; Upchurch and Barret, 2000; Carpenter, 2001) Vicakaryous, Maryanska and Weishampel, 2004)
