Info

Genus - Typespecies

\\\"ostrich (foot) lizard\\\" Named for the \\\"general similarity to the metatarsus of the ostrich...expressed in the reduction of the second pedal digit. In this respect, [Tochisaurus] is the most progressive troodontid so far known\\\".

Metatarsus. There is no siginicant overlap in the known specimens of Tochisaurus nemegtensis, Borogovia gracilicrus and Saurornithoides junior, which were recovered from the same geographic area, and it is conceivable that they all represent the same species.
