Holotype

ZPAL MgDI/110 Named to honor Rinchen Barsbold, noted Mongolian paleontologist.

Known from incomlete postcranial remains which comprises much of the posterior dorsal, sacral and anterior caudal series of vertebrae, the left ilium and both pubes, a number of ribs and ossified tendons, fragments of the hindlimbs and elements of the pes are also known.

Barsboldia sicinskii is a hadrosaurid with verry tall neural spines to its posterior dorsal, sacral and anterior caudal vertebrae. Norman and Sues (2000) stated that the neural spines of the type species are unusually high, \\\"even by lambeosaurine standards\\\" the tallest being those in the middle of the sacrum.
