Calamosaurus foxi (Lydekker, 1891) >> Calamospondylus foxi (Lydekker, 1889 / Fox, 1866)
Vertebrae. Lydekker wanted to legitimize Fox\\\'s Calamospondylus (witch was published anonymousley, and may not have been described by Fox in 1866) so he renamed the type species Calamospondylus foxi. Later he changed the name to Calamosaurus foxi.
Since Calamospondylus (Fox,?) and Calamospondylus (Lydekker, 1889) have different type species and type specimens, they\\\'re different genera with the same name. Calamospondylus foxi (renamed Calamosaurus foxi), based as it is on two cervical vertebrae and a referred tibia is not directly comparable to Calamospondylus oweni and should also be considered a nomen dubium .
