Genus - Typespecies
(Also misspelled as Aepysaurus)
Aepisaurus means \\\"elephantine high lizard\\\". Huene, 1932 referred A.elephantinus based on a humerus from the French Aptian to the Titanosauria because of some resemblance to the humerus of Laplatasaurus. (it had dermal plates, armor) Only a humerus [MNHN 1868-242] was found, its of the slender type and does bear that resemblanche, but it also resembles that of Camarasaurus and some brachiosaurids. Its true family position must await future discoveries.
