(cylindrical tooth) Name originally appeared as the caption to a picture of Hylaeosaurus teeth, and was used even earlier by Jaeger for phytosaur teeth.
This genus appears in Ingles & Sawyer\\\'s catalogue of Richard Owen\\\'s collection of drawings as the caption to a figure of two ?Hylaeosaurus teeth. It is evidently a form genus, since the name was used much earlier by Jaeger for parasuchian (\\\"phytosaur\\\") teeth from Germany.
