Holotype
GI SPS 100/1501, \\\\\\\"adorned head\\\\\\\" G. lattimorei was an animal of 1.5 to 2 meter long. The supratemporal fenestrae are longitudinally oval, and the bridge between them is narrow. The medial part of the skull roof is ornamented. According to Perle et al. (1982) this is the best known of basal pachycephalosaurs. There are only a few features that are peculiar to Goyocephale, these include the sinuous lateral margin of the skull, which is particularly prominent above the orbit where the two supraorbitals meet. The sternals are more gently curved than those in Stegosaurus.
