Dinosaur Ridge also know as the \\\"Dakota Hogback\\\" forms part of the elongate north-south ridge that comprisesthe easternmost range of the Rocky Mountain foothills just west of Denver, Colorado, US, North America The segment named Dinosaur Ridge is situated between the town of Morrison in the south and the southern outskirts of Golden in the north and consist eastward-dipping Jurassic Morrison Formation and Cretaceous (Dakota Group) strata, and is the type section for the famous Late Jurassic Morrison Formation.
