(Cycnorhamphus suevicus  = swan beak) Possible the most primitive pterodactyloid because it retains cervical ribs and an unfused basipteryogid. Unusual footprints found in Purbeck, England, may be attributed to this plantigrade pterosaur. Some specimens referred to Pterodactylus micronyx are juveniles
