(Germanodactylus rhamphastinus = German finger) G. rhamphastinus is distinct from G. cristatus in having teeth growing out near the tips of its sharply pointed jaws, a longer neck and a shorter torso. The head crest is not so extensive and the sternum is shield-shaped.
