Type species by monotype. Generally plesiomorphic eutherian, differing from Prokennalestes in having a semimolariform p4; from Otlestes in having an unreduced paraconid on lower molars and a lower more posteriorly placed metaconid om p4; and from both in lacking a Meckel\'s groove on the dentary.
