INFO
Upper molars differ from those of Didelphidae sensu stricto and Herpetotheriinae in being predilambdonont and in having more weakly developed stylar cups. Lower molars differ in having a shorter entoconid and in lacking a strong notch separating that cups from the hypoconulid. Distinct from Peratherium in having paracone and metacone uninflated and less rounded; hypoconulid not as closely approximated to entoconid. (Johanson, 1996)
